courses we offer
In these unprecedented times, as many of us are unable to gather in person, why not consider meeting with others to discuss the big things in life.

Mission Beyond Our Borders
_edited.png)
St Peter’s church is just a very small part of the universal worldwide church. As a community we still have the same commission that Jesus gave to his early disciples following his resurrection – “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28 verse 19) Of course, most of us won’t go to other nations.
MBoB are a small group of St Peter’s church members who aim to provide a focus for our vision to see our place within the worldwide church of God and help St Peter’s choose which missionaries and organisations we support each year.
To do this we do the following:

-
Teaching about having a vision for the big purposes of God throughout the world.
-
Encourage prayerfulness in our service and by individuals for what God is doing through his church.
-
Provide country profiles of nations around the world, about the church in those nations and points of prayer.
-
Encourage people to hear a call to serve in God’s mission purposes beyond our parish.
-
Support individuals/families who we have links with in prayer, and practical ways.
-
To encourage financial support of organisations and individuals/families who are engaged in mission in other places beyond our parish.

Our understanding of mission has a triple focus:
-
Evangelism/disciple making (WORD)
-
Development/social action (ACTION)
-
Church under pressure – (STANDING WITH)
Country Prayer Profiles

The situation for Christians in different parts of the world can be very challenging. The MBoB group wishes to raise awareness about and pray for the Christians in some of these places and regularly share a profile for a different country.
Click the stars on the map below to see some of the countries we have been praying for.
